2 Corinthians 5:17-21

             In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Paul teaches us that God 
             saves us from sin (reconciliation), entrusting us
             with the gospel, for gospel service.

1. God’s   _________________

                  This is a change of character: The man in
                  Christ is!

                  All of these things are from God, we are made   
                  new through Christ (v.18a)

                 God gives believers a “ _________________ of                             reconciliation” (vv. 18b-19)

                 The ministry defined: God reconciles the world to
                 Himself in Christ (v. 19a)

                 God entrusts us with His gospel.

                 This answers the question, “What were you
                  saved?”

In a survey of Rick Warren’s church, Saddleback Valley Community Church in California, 90% of the pastors believe that the main purpose of the church was the Great Commission and 10% believe that the main purpose of the church was to meet the needs of the people. When the people of the church were surveyed, 11% believed the main purpose was the Great Commission and 89% believed the church existed to meet their needs.
