There is no one beyond God’s reach.
When we join the mission, God is already at work.
When we share the message, God changes heart
What Will Be Our Resolution?
Jonah and the Missional God
Jonah 1:17-3:2
- God Remains Faithful to Jonah. (Jonah 1:17)
Does not abandon Jonah, even when Jonah abandons Him.
- God Responds to Jonah’s Humbled Heart. (Jonah 2:1-10)
Stands against the proud.
Rescues and Redeems the humble.
- God Reestablishes the Mission and the Missionary. (Jonah 3:1-2)
He chooses who he uses.
When you rebel, God remains.
When you return, God rescues.
When you surrender, God reaffirms.
Jonah and the Sovereign God
Jonah 1:1-16
- God Prophet Rebels (Jonah 1:1-3)
We Cannot Run or Hide (Psalm 139)
- God Pursues Jonah (Jonah 1:4-6)
Sin can be comfortable
- The Glory of God is Displayed. (Jonah 1:7-13)
God’s Identity is proclaimed
- Pagan Sailors Move Towards God. (Jonah 1:14-16)
God WILL be glorified
We are given the privilege of participating.
