Worship and Youth Pastor - Andrew Robinson
Andrew was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and came to accept Jesus as his Savior at a young age. A few years later when he was 16, he made a public declaration of his faith and obedience to Christ through baptism.
Through his high school years, and played a variety of sports while also developing and using his vocal gift in wide range of venues. After graduation and freshmen year of college, he was led to join “Eternity” - a nationwide touring Christian vocal quartet. It was there where his desire grew to pursue music ministry in the local church. After studying at the University of Nebraska and Western Illinois and leaving a job in political campaign consulting, he spent two and a half years working as a part-time church music director and in marketing for a media company. In his ministry role, Andrew spent much time developing worship ministries, but also gained a love for working with youth. In June of 2009, and was hired full-time at First Baptist Church of Bettendorf.
Andrew and his wife, Gretchen, met in June of 2003 while she was competing and he was performing at the Miss Iowa pageant. They were married in November of 2006 and are thankful for the leading God has provided in their marriage. In June of 2009, God blessed with a healthy and beautiful baby boy, Brody. Currently, Andrew, Gretchen and Brody live in Pleasant Valley, Iowa with their two chocolate labs, Bear and Godiva.
Interim Senior Pastor - Richard Lamborn
Richard comes to First Baptist with over 50 years of senior pastoring and home missions experience in Southern Baptist churches. Currently residing in Winterset, Iowa, he has spent over 30 years pastoring Iowa churches and serving the Baptist Convention of Iowa. Since retiring, Richard has been interim pastor for Iowa Baptist churches throughout the state.
Richard married his late wife, Lois, in August of 1958. Together they had three children, Rick, Esther, and Miriam, and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until her passing last June. Richard cherishes his time with his kids and grandkids, and among a variety of interests enjoys gardening, watching sports, and writing sermons.
First Baptist is grateful for the time and commitment Richard has given us and for sharing his heart for the Lord in his powerful way.
